"If you came and had an AROMATHERAPY massage with us and you will see how the combination of therapeutic Massage and healing Aromas can help you, just as they have helped many of our clients. It is incredibly relaxing and can help you cope with the stress of today's way of life"

"Staff are friendly and helpful. No matter how embarrassing the problem, Chanin's would be my first port of call".

V.M. from Tranmere.

"The best I've ever had. [Kerry is] a perfectionist, I have never felt so chilled. Much better than the health farm which cost a lot more."

Mrs. F. from Bebington

"Even when I have been stressed out your staff has always been TOPS!".

H.M. from Birkenhead.

Your Therapist

Your Aromatherapist will combine two powerful techniques, namely Swedish Massage Therapy and Aroma Therapy. Our Aromatherapists are all qualified to I.I.H.H.T. Level.  We have a policy of encouraging each client to be treated by a therapist of the same sex.

Your Luxury Environment

You will be shown to one of our private treatment rooms. It will be tranquil with no interruptions so

you can feel relaxed and comfortable should you need to remove clothing. You will be offered a freshly laundered robe to wear. The room will be kept warm for your comfort and you will be offered a choice of relaxing music or natural sounds, which will help you to get the best from the Aroma Therapy oils. You will never be treated in an offhand way - you, the client, will be made to feel special and pampered because you are special to us.

You may feel free to talk to the therapist throughout if you wish, but you may find it more relaxing to just simply relax quietly, and the therapist will not be offended by your silence!

Your Massage

Massage is a very good way to use Aroma Therapy because you get the extra effect of some absorption of the oil into your skin which is good for Eczema, Dermatitis, Acne, Athlete's foot, etc. It also makes you relax very deeply so that you can be receptive to the aromatic effects of the oils used.

It is an intimate and private therapy so we choose aromatherapists with whom you can feel comfortable. You will be in good hands. You have no need to feel embarrassed about having a less than perfect body, we've yet to see a perfect one!!

Your Aroma Therapy

Aromas can greatly affect your mood and this is how they can heal.  It is a scientifically proven fact that your mood DIRECTLY AFFECTS the healing process.

Haven't we all been whisked back in time by the briefest of exposure to a certain smell - Mums, think of Johnson's baby powder!!

Aromas have a direct effect on the limbic region of your brain (the part of your brain involved with mood) through your olfactory bulb. The oils enter your bloodstream and  nervous system by these routes, influencing your emotional and physical wellbeing. Essential oils are also absorbed through your skin and inhaled through your lungs  .

Before your massage your consultant will work with you to choose the oil or oils that will benefit any problems you have. Alternatively, if you have no specific health concerns, oils that remind you of happy memories can be used to create a truly calming and balancing sensation. Your therapist can also add fragrances (which are not essential oils) to the mixture.
